The Hon. Danièle Henkel

Danièle Henkel is a businesswoman, strategic advisor, mentor, coach, speaker, and respected author with more than 30 years of expertise.

Born in Morocco, Ms. Henkel worked as a political and economic advisor at the United States Consulate General in Algeria for 10 years before coming to Canada with her family in 1990. Six years later, she started her first company with the Renaissance Glove, which served as a foundation for Entreprises Danièle Henkel Inc., a company specializing in the distribution of cutting-edge technologies to medical aesthetics centres throughout Canada. Aware of the importance of continuing education in her industry, Ms. Henkel founded the Académie Danièle Henkel in 2003, which has since trained more than 10,000 professionals in the medical aesthetics sector across Canada.

A media personality, speaker, and author of several books, Ms. Henkel became known to a broad audience by appearing on the French-language version of Dragon’s Den (Dans l’œil du dragon) on ICI Radio-Canada Television from 2012 to 2017. In 2018, she founded and became the President of Henkel Média, a digital platform committed to showcasing the entrepreneurial community of Quebec and La Francophonie on the global stage, as well as providing essential tools and resources.

Ms. Henkel has long worked to improve the lives of others by sharing her expertise with organizations such as Dress for Success, the Association pulmonaire du Québec, Sclérodermie Québec, CARE Canada, the Fondation Émergence, and Leucan. She is also an ambassador for the francophonie économique at the Conseil du patronat du Québec and the Alliance des patronats francophones pour les Amériques, sponsor of the Fondation québécoise du cancer, and the former Chair of the Board of Directors of Parc Jean-Drapeau. She has also served on the boards of many organizations, including Réseau Mentorat, the Fondation Armand-Frappier, the Centre québécois d’innovation en commerce, and the Conseil de développement Canada-Algérie. She was also a member of the Comité expérience client at Investissement Québec.

In recognition of her contributions, Ms. Henkel has received many awards and earned repeated recognition, including the title of lieutenante-colonelle honoraire of the Régiment de Maisonneuve, the King Charles III Coronation Medal, two Medals of Honour from the Quebec National Assembly, as well as the Prix Réalisations and the Prix Entrepreneure active à l’international from the Réseau des femmes d’affaires du Québec. She is also a Knight of the French government’s Ordre national du mérite and has been named one of the 100 most credible CEOs in Quebec by the Institut de la crédibilité. She was also recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network.

Ms. Henkel holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Oran Es-Sénia in Algeria.
