Senator Pierre Dalphond, Leader of the Progressive Senate Group (PSG), is pleased to welcome Senator Duncan Wilson to the group.

“Senator Wilson is a champion of collaboration and inclusion and has demonstrated experience in delivering balanced and innovative solutions to complex problems. His impressive background will serve him well in his new role as senator and will make him an excellent addition to our group. Independent senators of the PSG look forward to working with him and learning from him,” Senator Dalphond said.

“I look forward to working with my Progressive Senate Group colleagues and other parliamentarians to seize opportunities for Canada to achieve its full economic potential globally, in a manner that respects human rights, Indigenous reconciliation and the environment,” said Senator Wilson.

The Progressives believe in a more independent Senate, equality amongst senators, Charter values, reconciliation, diversity, and policies directed towards sustainable, inclusive, and shared prosperity in Canada. Their organizing principle is inspired by the Algonquin/Ojibwe word “Mamidosewin,” for “Meeting place” or “Walking together.”
