Senator Pierre Dalphond, Leader of the Progressive Senate Group, is pleased to announce that Senator Michèle Audette has been acclaimed as the new Liaison of the Progressive Senate Group, following an internal election process.

“Senator Audette brings an important perspective, and I welcome her to this new role. She will be an excellent addition to our leadership team.”

He also expressed his thanks to outgoing Liaison, Senator Wanda Thomas Bernard, for her time in that role.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Wanda on the leadership team. I join all PSG senators in thanking her for all her work.”

Senator Judy White (Deputy Leader) and Senator Amina Gerba (Deputy Liaison and Caucus Chair) make up the rest of the Progressive Leadership Team.

The Progressive Senators believe in a more independent Senate, equality amongst senators, Charter values, diversity, reconciliation, and policies directed towards sustainable, inclusive, and shared prosperity in Canada. Their philosophy is inspired by the Algonquin/Ojibwe word “Mamidosewin,” for “Meeting place” or “Walking together.”
